Monday Quotable

Happy Monday! Today's quote jumped out at me after watching the Super Bowl. Seahawks' quarterback, Russell Wilson said he always believed he could win because when he was young and doubted himself, his dad always said "Why not you?"

That mentality is one we can all stand to take a lesson from. No matter what we want to do, we can. We may doubt it because our dreams can be so big but others have achieved greatness so, why not you? Why not me? The truth is, there is rarely a reason. People of all ages, intelligence levels, physical capabilities, races, and genders are living their dreams. I'm sure one thing they all have in common is belief in themselves. So, get busy fanning the little sparks of possibility in your life. As the flames start to grow, go with it. When you start to doubt and the flames die down, check yourself and ask "Why not me?" Then get back to fanning.

If you can't read the quote on the photo: "Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement." -Golda Meir
