Monday Quotable

Last night, I was watching Lifeclass on OWN. Bishop T.D. Jakes was teaching on transformation. You know from a few posts over the last several weeks that I have been feeling stuck in several areas of my life. In an effort to shake loose, I've been engaging in all kinds of activities targeted at finding my purpose. I've listened to Bishop Jakes sermons many times over the years and find myself streaming his Sunday services online now and then. Lately, though, he has been doing a series on instinct and following your gut feeling to your purpose. The series is inspired by his new book, Instinct: The Power to Unleash Your Inborn Drive, set for release tomorrow (May 6).

I'm excited about getting the book because the message of the series has had a great impact on my thinking. I can actually feel a shift. I know there are gifts I was born with that I've failed to cultivate because I don't have time. I've devoted my time to walking down a planned career path and I think I took a wrong turn somewhere. I'm stuck because of the effort it will take to start walking back the other way. But, until I do, I know I will be stuck and my apple (potential) will stay singular. My orchard will be trapped under the skin and flesh (all the other things filling up my life that I'm not passionate about). I'm ready to get to the core and figure out how to get unstuck for follow my instinct to transformation. What about you?

Happy Monday and here's to our orchards!
