Taking Chances/No Regrets

I skim so much material to curate content for this here blog. A lot of what speaks to me is based on my journey through life. In any given day, I could look at 10 recipes, 4 new style trends, 30 DIYs, an article on surrogacy and study results testing new medications. All over the board, right? I always say anyone who looks at my Google history would think several different people used my computer/tablet for research that day.

Anyway, occasionally, I come across something that isn’t just a cute, sharable piece. It hits home. That happened this week with an article I found on Viralnova. It was about the top 37 things dying people say they regret. The idea is not to have these regrets pile up on you—or me, as it were.

The regrets varied from not traveling while young to not quitting a terrible job. Each one resonated with me whether it was one of my own regrets or not. In the end, it was a kick in the pants to let go of some fears/excuses and start making an effort to have more unique experiences.

I started the year with that same attitude after giving myself a swift kick. I created a list of things to accomplish in 2014. Some were out of my comfort zone but the whole point was to get out of my box and grow. Six months into the year, I only have one item—ONE ITEM—marked off of my list and that is because someone else made the arrangements. That, my friends, is a fail. It doesn’t matter that I spent Winter buried under the snow. There were some things I could have accomplished. With Summer here, I need to get to work.

You can check out the full list of regrets here.

What have you been putting off? How are you going to turn it around to go after your goal?
